Wilderness Wandering

Never hike the back country alone. If you insist, tell two people who are not going with you, where you are going and when you will be back.
Make sure you tell your trusted contacts your planned route, where your vehicle is parked, and the license plate and make and model of your car. Be aware of your surroundings. Try to see and avoid wild animals, before they see you. If you encounter any human by themselves, be cautious, trust no one.

  1. Thank you for your tips! I agree with all of these! I love hiking but won’t do any trails that are like this because of these factors but if I do I will follow your tips!

    • Hi Lorena, thank you for your comment. I did some research and it is recommended to always take a buddy with you. That way you would feel more secure. I never go it alone.
